We simple can quote their own website, what we have to say more! Enjoy a stunning evening with classic food and atmosphere including excedent service all with a modern ‘twist. See you at Chez Panisse! Chez Panisse opened its doors in 1971

..founded by Alice Waters and a group of idealistic friends. A neighborhood bistro, it is named after Honoré Panisse, a character in Marcel Pagnol’s 1930s movie trilogy about waterfront life in Marseille (Marius, Fanny, and César), as an homage to the sentiment, comedy, and informality of these classic films.

From the beginning, Alice and her partners tried to do things the way they would like them done at a dinner party at home, with generosity and attention to detail. The Restaurant, located downstairs, is open for dinner Monday through Saturday, by reservation only. The fixed dinner menu consists of three to four courses. The menu which changes every night is designed to be appropriate to the season and composed to feature the finest sustainably-sourced, organic, and seasonal ingredients including meat, fish, and poultry.

Prices for the restaurant are $60 on Monday, $80 Tuesday through Thursday, and $95 on Friday and Saturday (not including beverage, a 17% service charge, and 8.75% tax). Monday night’s menus are typically simpler and more rustic or regional than on other evenings. Friday and Saturday night menus are somewhat more elaborate.

The Café at Chez Panisse, located upstairs, opened in 1980 offering an alternative to the set menu served in the Restaurant downstairs. The Café serves a moderately priced à la carte menu for both lunch and dinner. It has an open kitchen along one side of the room with a charcoal grill and a wood-burning oven. The menu is inspired by the market and changes every day.

Alice and Chez Panisse are convinced that the best-tasting food is organically and locally grown and harvested in ways that are ecologically sound by people who are taking care of the land for future generations. The quest for such ingredients has always determined the restaurant’s cuisine. Since 1971, Chez Panisse has invited diners to partake of the immediacy and excitement of vegetables just out of the garden, fruit right off the branch, and fish straight out of the sea. In doing so, Chez Panisse has established a network of nearby suppliers who, like the restaurant, are striving for both environmental harmony and delicious flavor.

The 12 Apostles in the middle are in the S-Bahn arches next to the Museum Island.

Lunch will be served here for a daily changing business lunch and special dishes. The favorite favorite stone oven pizzas at a reduced price for lunch In the “new center” of the city between opera houses, theaters, music halls and amusement street create our Italian frescoes, the special atmosphere in which they are glad to welcome you as a guests.

The three arcs have seating capacity for 320 people, receptions up to 600 persons. Whether for private parties or corporate events – our prestigious premises, the backdrop for her custom-designed event. They have 3 Restaurants in Berlin, we visited the one in Mitte near Friedrichstrasse….our notes;

First of all, it was beautiful inside and I ate the best Pizza ever outside of Italy, after I ordered it came straight away like 10 minutes later but the restaurant was half full so it was kind of a crowd there and the special thing about this place was that it is built beneath a train station/ railways so every 20 minutes you can feel and hear this place shaking like a far distant earthquake but everyone seems not to care at all if you look around (except the tourists and me of course who have never been there before).

It was an amazing experience and due to this train station below you kind of got the nice feeling of chit chatting, even as bigger group.

Since they had 2 huge rooms but very nice & fast service I can imagine group dinners and birthdays specially cause of the length of some table and the noise make is all special

Special season menu;

Crema di patate e mele, Insalata di lenticchie, Rotondi alla rucola con mandorle, Malfadine con coniglio, Pizza con patate e lardo tirolese, Petto di galetto, Budino di semolino and more!

The origin of the circle the BAVO, is shortly after the 2010 edition of Haarlem Culinary. Some participants were gathered for the event by speaking. It actually came out to show that they had to run a great event but that it was a pity that the entrepreneur, at such a busy event, hardly can promote his own restaurant. Their must be an alternative…. The idea stayed alive and ….

Because the most contacts with companies is around the Bavo, the idea for a circle around the main church w as quickly born. Ten (now 9) participating entrepreneurs appeared to be quickly found and the first round was planned.
That tour was a success. So much so that even now we are making plans for a winter edition of the circle the BAVO on 19 February 2012. It will be the third edition which we hope the upward trend of visitors affect eels to hold. For this next round we will have a maximum of 300 cards.

The concept is quite simple. A opportunityon a Sunday afternoon to get acquainted with 9 restaurants around the Bavo church in the center of Haarlem. Not everyone is familiar with all the restaurants and that only makes it more fun this way anyway to get acquainted with an unfamiliar restaurant.

Each restaurant offers guests an appetizer and between half a glass of wine for only € 4.50.Advance, each guest at his favorite restaurant, buy a card for € 39.95. Thereupon the starting point is indicated. This allows each restaurant to imagine the guest and the guest has one chance to, quite simply, new restaurants to explore and experience.

As mentioned, the next round scheduled for 19 February 2012. You start at the restaurant where you have a card purchased. Start time will be 12.00. We sell up to +/- 40 cards per restaurant so the spots are limited. It should not be massive feast. You must be a restaurant oryour guests are well received and they can overwhelm you with hospitality. It’s also no fun toyou as a participant by many other participants, trying to bite you get. You must be acquainted with the restaurant. That is the core.

Participating restauranst (and Tickets); restaurant Nobel, restaurant Madame Marlie, espresso-lounge Dodici, restaurant Stempels, Wijnbar Viqh, brasserie de Karmeliet, restaurant Specktakel, restaurant Parels en brasserie Dijkers

Café-restaurant Zuiderterras looks like a moored ship on the river Scheldt, which is situated near the cruise terminal and the walking terrace of the same name as the restaurant. In the summer, you will find an attractive and spacious terrace in white boat oil waiting for you. The view is simply magnificent. There is also ample parking in the direct vicinity.

We liked it!

Kitchen

Chef Steve Conard serves contemporary cuisine with certain contrasts, pleasing both the eyes and the taste buds. The menu presents, among other things, a delightful luxurious breakfast, a fine selection of fresh and healthy salads, a well-balanced and scrumptious compilation of summer or winter dishes: fish, meat, wok and vegetarian dishes, followed by a highly imaginative dessert menu. It goes without saying that all of these dishes are prepared with products of the highest quality. Furthermore, there are several season bound dishes available: such as asparagus, young herrings, mussels, game, …

History

The original Zuiderterras dates back to 1886 and was a square building in neo-classicist style. Back in those days, the Zuiderterras was the mirror image of the oppositely situated Noorderterras. The Zuiderterras has always been in the catering business, but the entire building was destroyed in a fire in 1973. In the beginning of the nineties, the current proprietors gave the order to rebuild and restore it to its former glory, a project that took two years and was spearheaded by Flemish Architect Bob Van Reeth. Thus, the Zuiderterras became a trail-blazing project in Antwerp, helping to direct the attention back to the waterfront instead of the city’s centre. The starting signal for a thorough revaluation of the quays along the river Scheldt had been given. Nowadays, we mainly focus on maintaining the timeless style of our establishment, which remains our challenge for the future.
